Heather first stepped into a yoga class in 1997 in an ongoing effort to keep her “workout routine” new and exciting. In the process, she fell in love with how the practice made her feel both mentally and physically, and that was enough to keep her coming back to class. It wasn’t until 2005 when she truly fell in love with yoga; she had met an amazing teacher, friend and mentor, Amy Baker. Through her evolving classes and effort to bring on amazing teachers, Heather had found her home in the yoga studio.
Heather refers to herself as a gypsy yoga student – always stepping into a new studio wherever her travels might take her. It was through her traveling that brought her to Gina Caputo’s class in Denver during Hanuman Festival where she had an instant connection to her energy and teaching style.
In 2014, Heather completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Colorado School of Yoga with teachers Julia Clarke and Gina Caputo. She says she will always be a student first and foremost – constantly striving to learn and improve.
To Heather, yoga is home – a place full of acceptance, positivity and transformation. Breathe, expand, challenge and nurture yourself. Discover something new, and maybe even laugh a little – these are the intentions that Heather holds for her yoga students.
