CASSIE SCALES

TEACHER | STUDENT

Cassie found yoga after she graduated from Ball State University in 2010. After her first class in her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, she was hooked. She loved the challenging, playful, vinyasa flow as well as the calm state of mind she felt after practice. She gained physical strength and stability as well as a new awareness of her body and mind connection.

Cassie received her first 200 Hour Power Yoga Certification with Rachel Nelson at Revolution Power Yoga in 2014 and recently completed the Colorado School of Yoga 200 Hour Integrated Vinyasa Teacher Training with Julia Clarke and Gina Caputo at Mountain Soul Yoga. Her classes are playful, energetic and inspired by her students. She loves to incorporate music and humor to her flow. Cassie encourages direct communication, being fiercely authentic, and cultivating balance between restoration and an active mountain lifestyle.

Cassie lives in beautiful Edwards, Colorado. For 40ish hours a week she is a Probation Officer for Eagle County where she writes pre-sentence reports for felony offenders. She is an Ambassador for Colorado Yoga + Life Magazine and enjoys all that mountain life has to offer like trail running, uphill skiing, hiking, camping and of course, practicing yoga. She loves reading, cooking, eating, and drinking rose on patios with friends.
